              I will say the internal parts should be higher quality in a Ruger. They still use hardened steel parts, and S&W uses a bunch of MIM parts, including the trigger.

                Last time I checked, Ruger made the most durable revolvers in the average person's price range.

                      But for serious, a Manurhin MR73 is unbeatable for the money. Several on GB for around $500.

                                Ruger revolvers seem to be built a bit heavier than S&W besides the x frame. I just personally have not liked the feel of the ruger pistols besides in single action. I had a Super Redhawk for a while and just couldn't make myself like it.
