They still get crazy dirty, and that stupid polymer coating crap will clog up the flutes as the gun gets hot.

The only ammo that has ever required my FNC to switch to adverse conditions mode is tula. It also wont run in belt feds for shit.

hmm. my barrel has over 1k rounds of the stuff through it and the chrome lining still looks smooth as glass, perfect rifling

Russian ammo wears barrels out twice as fast as domestic brass. There was an extensive test done that was posted last year. The amount you save from ammo goes right back into buying a new barrel. It breaks even.
