My bench/bipod AR uses the 20rd mags to clear any deck below me like a table or the ground. The shorter mags also cut down on the profile of an AR.

Cabelas has 20 rnd pmags, I didn't notice any steel ones. I just ordered some 20 rnd steels from Brownells for $9 a piece with discount.

I'll keep them in mind and use them as a last resort if I absolutely have to. Unfortunately neither of their locations is on the way home.

No. But we have the same barrel. I built this one at a build party at my house a couple years ago. JP Ent free float tube was a bitch to get right and I still am not happy with it. But she shoots straight.
