  • Recommend a good gunsmith for cutting?

Once I get my stamp back on my M92 pistol I will be converting to an underfolder SBR. I have the correct trunion, but I am unsure of my skills to cut out the side of the receiver for the correct hole. If it were just a circle, I'd try but it's a circle with a small notch above and below...on both sides.

Can anyone recommend a gunsmith that would make the correct cuts based on the trunion (so they line up)? I'm in Keller/Coppell/Lewisville

    Estimated cost?

    Much obliged!

Drill hole, use dremel to rough cut, then use file to take out the rest of the material and make it pretty. If you need any help with it let me know.

I really appreciate your offer, where are you located at in case I throw in the towel?

Edit: Is it possible to just bypass installing a trunion and just cutting out what i need out of the virgin trunion AND the receiver? That would save a ton of time, BUT I wouldn't have the measurements in order to drill the correct holes.

These are great guys and really know what they are doing. I only have one experience with them. The problem I have had with them is time. I dropped off a gun over three weeks ago and got the tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow for a while, then decided to wait 10 days. I called and they said it may be done in 2-3 weeks. You may get lucky and they get it done quickly but just know it may take some time. Either way, it will get done right. They originally told me 2-3 days.

I wish my gunsmith moved that fast.

                  Was their pricing reasonable?

Sawzall and a blow torch do the job really well. That's what Yale says.
                        Yes, he really does!

I'm an AR-15 kind of guy. The only work I have ever done on a AK platform was converting a Saiga 7.62x39 rifle from sport to assault rifle configuration.

If I mess up, it's permanent.

Now, if the prices quoted to me are too high, the inner cheapskate and redneck will take over...hold my DP and watch this!

The guy out at Winchester fixed my AR, my only experience with a gun smith.
