If your idea of winning is being found dead with a jammed bolt action then yes, ftw.

I'm thinking of all the free 7.62 ammo I got from my old boss because his SKS would eat it. MAK90 is still 100%.

              Your statement was funny though.

Nice name change. I like it. My poo hitting plan is to wait 1 day and then make a bee line for CJ's house and then hole up w/ all the shit he left behind!

                  Probably not a bad idea!

                  • Well guys thanks for this thread. After reading and contemplating it a while I built BOB #1 for me. I'm building #2 for the wife and #3 for my son too. I'll make a fourth for my daughter when she is old enough and big enough to carry one.

I went with the essentials: food, water, shelter and self defense.

I'm not going to empty it out, but it's not nearly as large or heavy as it sounds which suprised me.

I have a first aid kit, water proof matches, a firestarting stick, a hunting knife, 3 days of freeze dried food, a mess kit, a life straw, water purification tablets, a water bottle, a cook pot, an alcohol camp stove, mylar blankets, a mylar sleeping bag, mylar shelter, socks, knife sharpener, small fishing kit, wire saw, magnifying glass, waterproof map, compass, holster for my XDM 9, 2 more loaded 16 rd mags for said pistol (10 rd mag is always in pistol), a small weather radio, a bush hat, a scarf and a few other odds and ends in there. Oh yes a signal mirror, and spare contacts (going to get glasses for it soon). I also have a windup flashlight in there and spare CR232 batteries for my Leupold firedot sight.

Now wife and I have discussed bad situations, getting home and then getting our rifles and heading out. We can head out in auto, on bikes or on foot as needed. Getting and staying in decent shape is also a priority. Speaking of which I have the small version of Wiseman's book in the bag too.

Wife will have similar items and other's I do not like spare meds she needs. Her rifle is a 16" 5.56 and mine will be my M1A or my 16" 6.8 spc. My son will get whatever he wants from the safe once we are all together. He is 15 now but big and strong and can carry a lot.

Yep and that's why you got to know the signs and get out of town before the Obama voters go ape shit. I've figured out the signal for me to get the hell out. You figured your signal out?

                          • Why would I want to leave when the Obama voters go ape shit (AKA niggergeddon) when I have been hoping for just such a thing to happen since the late 80's? Body armor & helmet, rifle with a go pro camera mounted on it, along with what I carry and wear everyday should do the trick because I am staying at home to kill everyone who comes near who I don't like to look of.

                            • I think the better question is where are you planning to go? That you won't just be shot by an unseen shooter for whatever you have on you.

Probably better to try and hide and let most people kill each other off first. To increase your chances
