  • Quality of ATI?

My brother in law just bought an American Tactical FX Titan 1911. It feels pretty decent, I was just curious on the quality of the brand. I don't know tons about guns, but am wanting to pick up a 1911 or two.

My only experience with ATI was their customer service regarding they import GSG5, I had for a while and they were pretty good CS wise. Used to be fairly active in their arfcom forums too it you questions.

I've got a 1911 from them. The fitment of the slide lock going through everything suck but the slide actually fit better than my kimber. Way less slop. I haven't shot it yet though. If anyone wants to use it for a range trip they are welcome to it

ATI builds nothing, they only import. The 1911s they bring in are made by Shooters Arms Manufacturing in the Philippines.

I have never shot a Filipino 1911 that was worth a fuck. They have a ton of slop up in the barrel bushing, and they ride the link like crazy. Poor frame to slide fitment, burred feed ramps, etc.

            That's an easily achievable goal.

I once made a 1911 out of old bubble gum that had better fitment than a Kimber.
