I reload everything in my garage, always have. I bought a heater and a fan, that should cover me no matter what the weather is like. Though I tend to take a break in the winter months as some of the powder is temp sensitive.

What do you mean by "temp sensitive"? I've never had any issues with temperature while loading now while shooting I have had some issues when the is a huge swing in temperature from when the load is developed. That's why I always try to do load development in the summer.

          LOL.

I tried the heater thing for a while: one at my feet and one on my hands. It was still fucking cold. Now i can reload while the gf is around because she can watch Netflix or something.

Well I found a load for my 7mm that I liked, it was pretty damn accurate. I developed this load during the summer and this is also when I tested it.

I took the same load, rounds loaded during the summer, and went to the range on a day a front came through. Now it could have been the barometric pressure drop at the head of the front, the 10 mph wind gust left to right or the fact that it dropped into the 20's in a matter of two hours; but something affected the way my rounds grouped. They strung out a bit, almost as if I wasn’t quite at the accuracy node yet.

So I remember reading somewhere that loading in the winter and shooting in the summer can be bad, whereas loading in a warm month but shooting in a cold will not cause pressure spikes. This logic led me to believe that if I have a "summer" load that I am loading in a Winter month, I may need to adjust the charge to obtain the same results as I did in the summer months.

This logic has lead me to not load during cold months as I do not want to have two separate loads for a single bullet that is determined off the outside weather.

The logic may be flawed, but no one has corrected me yet so...

Interesting I've never had an issue like that. What powder were you running ? I have seen results like that when a different lot of powder or primer was used even though the brand is the same.

That's an extreme powder so temperature shouldn't have affected it much. Was the stringing horizontal or vertical? I've shot in extreme variables at a long distance and noticed a change but it was at the 400 plus distance not the 100 yard. Humidity and pressure can affect it but usually at 100 the affect isn't noticed.

A bit of both really as I am sure I started to compensate once I saw the results of my initial grouping compared to what I am used too. It was still under 1 MOA but I was stringing to the right 1/2 MOA on all of the shots.

I did manage to get a 7 shot group touching in a 2 1/4" vertical line up on side of the target, lol.

So I was confused, some of the rounds were touching though if you shoot enough rounds, eventually they will all be touching. Some of the rounds didnt come close to touching each other so perhaps it was a small amount of the weather mixed with a little shooter error...

I have a split unit 2ton ductless system. It spoils the shit out of me. But I am not the winner here. I have not bought a single component to reload yet.

After seeing the cases of ammo you've got, id say you've got the brass covered!

horizontal dispersion is usually shooter error. That being said it could be load issue's I've just not really seen it do that at 100. Your load could be at the very edge of the accuracy node and just the slightest drop in velocity could knock it out of the node.

If you like tinkering be ready for another addiction. You may or may not save money since you will likely shoot a lot more than before.

I've been looking at work benches to put in my office for cleaning/working on guns, watches, etc. I haven't gotten into any reloading... yet.

There are some decent cheap benches out there, and there are some might fine expensive ones. I'd like to be able to put whatever I get on locking casters, so I can move it around easily as needed.

I was looking at this one, with a 30% off coupon - then buying and installing some locking casters on it.

I looked at that bench. I liked it but didn't love it. I paid half that for the one I bought.

Yeah, I want to see it in person, but I like the drawers, and lower shelf for storage, to keep things put away and clean.

Which I assume isn't an issue with you since you are moving in with Ben, I'd imagine everything in ya'll apartment to be covered in a sticky, gun powder, pizza, ice cream, sperm concoction with a few months.
