  • Glock 23 with 9mm conversion barrel

So I've been looking for a 9mm to get next (boy I've gone full circle now) and after missing out on the Sig 226 I'm going with my original plan of getting a Glock. Buddy of mine at work is offering me a Glock 23 with all of the original equipment plus a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel.

Anyone on here have personal experience with a Glock setup like this? I've heard it can be reliable just swapping the barrels while others say you have to swap the extractor out. I've also heard accuracy can be off as well. He's offering it to me for a pretty good deal and since it's a 23, maybe I could also do a .357 Sig barrel in it as well. Any ideas about that swap as it pertains to my original question?

I did that swap with a G22 years ago. I swapped the barrel, extractor, ejector, and used 9mm mags. Ran perfect, plenty accurate.

A buddy of mine swears by this setup. He's got a Gen 4 Glock 23 with the KKM 9mm and .357 sig barrels. It's really just as simple as swapping the barrels out. I haven't experienced any reliability or accuracy issues when we've been to the range.

I'm planning on doing the same thing with my G27. Will probably get a threaded conversion barrel.

the .357 SIG is the same mags, extractor, ejector, etc... the only difference is the barrel. The 9mm will work with just the barrel and mags (.40 mags don't feed right usually), but it was more reliable with different ammo types when I also used the extractor and ejector (0 problems with this setup).

I have a 3rd Gen G22 and I only swap out the barrel. I have a Lone Wolf Threaded barrel that I use with my HD2 suppressor.

Works perfectly. It's like getting a new gun for only $125.

Never had a FTF or FTE, suppressed or unsuppressed.

I use both the KCI knockoff G17 mags and the legit G17 mags from Glock. Both work fine.

OK I think I'm sold on this setup than. Probably be a couple of weeks but I'll report back on how it works out.

If you want a couple of my KC knockoff mags, let me know. They will fit a G23, but stick out.
