    round stuck in barrel (AR)

    Put about 2-300 brass rounds through my at this weekend without problem, however Wife was loading magazines for me and loaded steel case herters rounds in a pmag, all 30 fired fine. She loaded the factory steel magazine with the steel case rounds and the second round in the magazine never fired. I disassembled the upper and the round has perfect pin strike but did not fire.

    It is stuck in the barrel really tight. I havent messed with it yet but it will not come out

    Any advice to get it out? Going to take it back to cabelas to have them inspect it this weekend when I have time. The edge of the round appears to have been damaged when my wife put it in the magazine

    This is a Windham arms AR with maybe 300 rounds through it

    I think your problem was that you were using the wrong ammo carrier. Clips don't work in that gun. You need magazines.

        That damage did not happen from your wife loading the round in the magazine. Your extractor ripped the rim of the case off either when it cycled into the chamber or when you pulled on the charging handle to clear the chamber.

        Wooden dowel rod or brass rod down the barrel and a mallet is your friend. Knock the round out...

                Thanks for the advice. I tried the brass rod but did not try the hammer yet, just don't want to do any damage, especially since the round hasn't fired

                  I was about to say that those won't work.. Even if the round did fire, those are made to remove stuck cases that had case head seperation where the entire case head ripped off leaving a see through case in the chamber...

                            Where do you live? I spent more than my fair share of time removing stuck steel cases out of my old AR, if you aren't too far you can bring it by.

                              You might want to heat up the barrel/chamber, if it's that tough you don't want to punch through the case head.
