  • LAW Tactical AR folding stock adapter

Thoughts on this? It looks like a pretty cool was to shorten the overall length for storage/transportation.

I'll admit, I'm curious. I can't see the vid right now, but do they address what happens if it's fired folded (or something to prevent that). Also, what takes up the gap create from the BCG to the buffer?

I'd also like to know what happens when you fire it folded. I know the other design for this had some kind of safety piece in that kept the BCG from falling out, but it didn't look like it would stop a BCG in motion.

From what I've been reading on it, you can fire it folded, as in there is nothing to physically prevent it, but they strongly recommend against it. I saw one video where a guy did, and it broke a couple of pieces in the folding mechanism.
The picture below (the part in the center) is what takes up the gap between the bcg and the buffer. It basically locks into the back end of the bcg.

That would be very cool, I just cant think of a situation where I would need to fold it up unless it is for transport in a small case. I think if they could engineer a way to fire it with it folded they would sell a whole lot of them.

A couple of people have an alternate buffer system that allows for a functional folding stock, they're just people like Para, lol.
