I don't know anything about the 250, I've never shot one. I carry a Sig 938, they make good guns for sure. I'm just answering your question on what other guns are good for $400, the witness is a good gun for that money.

CJ turned me onto Witness a year or so back and it is one of the guns I refuse to ever part with.

Sig makes good guns, but the P250 is their bottom of the line cheap gun to compete with the other cheap crap.

In my opinion the witness is the best gun for the money, and it has been for the last 5 years. For less than $400 you can get a great gun that compares with most mid level pistols. For a mid level price, you can get a gun that competes with most high level priced guns. And the witness is the primary competition for the 1911 in competitive shooting, they are no joke.

Academy and Gander Mountain are constantly stocked. Walmart, Cabelas, and Bass Pro are hit or miss.

I've heard about the bad trigger but have never shot one myself. And I think the sights are non-replaceable/adjustable.

PS. I've noticed some of you guys have an obsession with mags. Just how many extra mags do you think I'm really going to buy for these guns? lol
I would suggest having a minimum of 3 magazines. One to keep loaded in the gun all the time. Spare to keep loaded. And a third to rotate with the other two.

I have been on the hunt for some ammo as well and 9mm isn't cheap at Academy. I was in there this last weekend and the cheapest 9mm they had was B&S, $20 for a box of 20. That was plain FMJ shit too. Fuck that!

I bought my Witness .40 in wonder finish in EXCELLENT condition, second hand on TGT for $380.00

I had the compact .45 (meh) and traded it for a Ruger Mini 14.

I will never ever ever ever ever ever sell/trade my Full size .40. It will be in my family forever that is how much I love shooting that gun.

I've been looking at the 226 for months, but they are pretty pricey. I'll probably pick one up eventually, but I just need something versatile that I can learn with. You can change all kinds of shit on the p250, so I'll be able to cheaply try different calibers and get used to them without having to buy a bunch of different guns.

And yes, I've caught the disease. I'm picturing a full on armory in one of my bedrooms.

A witness can do that also, btw (change uppers for different calibers).
