couple glock questions

i'm about to start concealed carrying my 3rd gen glock 30, and i need to clear up a few things with the glock guys before i do.

first, my recoil spring is always on the highest notch when i disassemble the gun. i put it on the half moon notch, and when i pull the slide off it always on the top notch, normal?

second, when i pull the slide back at first (a couple cm) it feels like its going over a hump and the trigger will move back a cm or two, normal?

i'm getting my florida chl next weekend because i got some horseshit disorderly conduct for my "language" about 2 years ago.

edit: anyone thinking about a chl, there's a guy in ftw who teaches it.

pros: no written test, no range qual, about $100 cheaper than tx, good for 7 years and no renewal class. just pay renewal fee.

Texas is 5 years, but renewals are the same now.


If you do not know the proper Texas laws, you will still be held responsible for them. Why risk going to jail and a felony?

i believe he said he teaches the texas law with the fl class, if not, i'll research them myself. i'm not an idiot.

as far as range qual. i wouldnt care if it was mandatory, i know i can shoot, so i guess it's just less time to be up there?

ya, the classes are 50-75, but you have to pay the state $195, correct? FL is $112.

like i said, i'm just doing this so i dont have to wait three more years to carry, because of a disorderly conduct i got for saying "fuck you."

no, i figured it was going to cost more to fight it, and it wouldnt be guaranteed to get thrown out. i just deferred it.

had i known it would have affected my eligibility to get a chl, i would have. hindsight is.......
