But, I guess you get what you pay for. I've slowly worked my way up the chain. At first I was considering a Nikon Monarch 6-24x50, then a Bushnell 6-24x50 30mm 2400 Elite Tactical, and now I've settled on the as of yet unreleased Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50. Anyone else have one of these bad boys on pre-order?

I have looked through one and glass was good but not awesome. But for the money and all the other options that come come into play it is a great scope for the money. I settled on the bushnell 3x12 ffp mil mil. couldnt beat the price 550.00 to my door from natchez shooting supplies."The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those

Ive read several articles and everyone says its unbelievably clear. There are a few photos through the glass on snipershide that really impressed me.

Maybe thats the reason for my initial impression I was expecting too much, Thats prolly my fault."The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those

I was able to look at a preproduction model at the Safari club show. the Glass is good don't get me wrong would def. own one for sure. The pst was said by many (not Vortex) to take the market from Nightforce The glass just isn't as good.

I didn't know that about the pre production glass. That would be awesome. I was looking at it and a nightforce and an s&b at the same time and was like meh, great and then wow!Last edited by dmdakota; 01-26-2011, 04:28 PM."The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those

My general rule is that the optics on the rifle should cost as much as the rifle.
If I recall correctly you have some nice guns and it is about time you bought some nice glass. In a few more years you will look back on this and realize that $900 is cheap after you drop $3500 on a new scope for some new rifle.
Ebay is a GREAT place to find deals on used high end optics.Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

How swfa get you? I was going for the 6-24 but then saw it only has 12mils internal travel so that was a no for me."The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those
