Yeah, a Finn Bear is a good knife for the money, and their fixed blades are generally pretty good, but their folding knives just aren't what they used to be.

I think I'll order that Kershaw Volt II, just to try it out. Hell, it's only $25. If I don't like it, I'll go back to the Twitch II. I don't know about that Polyimide handle, though, as I liked the heft of the Twitch II, which means I would probably stay away from the wooden-handled Twitch II. I guess we will see.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! Keep 'em coming if you got 'em, as I might be tempted to try something else before I pick up another Twitch II.

I really like my Sog X-ray Mini. It has held up quite well with all the heavy use I give it. I know it isn't a plain blade but I find the half serration comes in handy. The pocket clip allows it to sit nice and deep so the top isn't exposed.

Just go buy another one since you know you like it. I prefer the lock to be on the back and hate linear releases, but even if the twitch did not have that option it is still a hell of a knife.
I misplaced my twitch, replaced it, and then the original turned up again. It's nice to have a backup.

I love the SOG clips. All the SOG variants I have owned have a clip like that.

I just ordered a Kershaw Volt II, should arrive at the office on Tuesday. Will let you guys know my initial impressions.

Just a heads-up, the top of the knife does stick up a bit with the clip on the Volt II.

That's what I figured when I looked at the pictures and watched a few videos about it. Still gonna give it a try.

As long as you don't catch it on something, I have had to take mine off and bend it back into shape a couple of times.

When I bend this one out of shape I plan to ask them for a replacement off a aegis, that clip is much more flat. When I replace this one the Sog Visionary is the likely replacement. I wish they made a tanto with a straight blade, that profile is much stronger than the drop point in my opinion.

                          Why not one of these?

I prefer the arc lock knives, they can be just as fast as the assisted blades and close faster as well. I had a Keyshawn liner lock fail while I was using it and almost lost a finger. I don't like the idea of the seat belt cutter, I don't doubt I would end up screwing up a pocket or two.

So this thread got me wanting a new, cheap knife. Ended up with the Gerber Remix. First knife with the open finger hole. Gotta say, i really like it.
