Bushmaster m4 moe. Just your run of the mill piston driven ar. I love it and got a pretty good deal on it. Went in looking for a basic M&P sport but ended up spending more to get something a little better. Looking back I probably should have spent the extra to get a colt, but I don't plan on selling it, just plan on running the piss out of it.

Is that what they told you when you bought it?

Looks more like a direct impingement gun up front at the fixed sight post.

There are piston kits that use the same FSB but I doubt this is one of them. Pop off the top handguard and show us the piston. My guess is, there is a gas tube there....and nothing wrong with that.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Difference is pretty big. Gas piston will run cooler and cleaner (in the upper receiver area and BCG). DI gets dirty and hot. Gas piston is a cinch to clean. DI takes some elbow grease.

Again, nothing wrong with a DI gun, but if you paid for a gas piston setup, you may have been taken.

Don't say it so shameful. It is okay, we all learned somehow. Now go put 100's of rounds through it. Welcome to the addiction.

And then you can have lots of lowers and then lose them all in a boating accident.

Looks good...I've been thinking of changing the furniture on mine to that same color.

not with the handle end of some pliers.

cool gun, how much do you have in it? i've got $325 invested in my spikes

ordered a PA micro dot and 3x magnifier, magpul rear mbus, 3 more pmags, hogue grip, sling, and a dpms 3 prong flash hider for another $325.

thought about some quad railed handguards and maybe a forend grip, but i think i like the simpler look of the m4 handguard and i find it pretty comfortable to grip the magwell as an alternative. probably going to go with a gas block with a flip up sight though soon.

these are badass guns, glad i made my way into the ar15 world.

gotcha. i'm surprised at how easy these are to work on. i've learned how to fully assemble a stripped lower and BCG so far. guessing building the upper is just as easy.

going to build a suppressed SBR myself next. good hobby

Lets just say I've got more than $325 in it lol. I got it at academy on a pretty good sale. Cheaper than anywhere online at least.

If you paid for a piston gun and didn't get one, you should take that di gun back and get a piston gun.

is it .223 only, or 5.56 as well?
