The reason I was comparing the Ice Comp to the Flaming Pig is that I have a 10.5 5.56 that flat out refuses to strip another round while shooting loud. Throw a can on there and it runs great. Based off of that, I was under the assumption that the 300BLK would do the same and in order to fix it, I needed a Flaming Pig.
Interesting. So it won't load the next round after it cycles?

      Insufficient gas.

Correct. Again, this is my 10.5 5.56 bbl. I have yet to shoot supers unsuppresed through the 300BLK. Kind of don't want to until I pick up a muzzle device.

I'm thinking the same thing. I've swapped out an H1 buffer for an H3, thrown in an flat (Tubbs I think) buffer spring and nothing works.

make sure your gas block is straight and your gas key is tight and properly staked. After that it's probably gas port size.

edit: It is a pistol length gas system, right?

Make sure that the gas block isn't backwards either.

No, it's a carbine length gas system. So there's no confusion, the rifle not chamber ing another round is my 10.5 5.56 bbl and not my 8.5 300 bbl.

I did inspect the gas key and it is staked and tight. The gas block, from what I can tell, doesn't appear to be out of alignment.

Any chance it's backwards? We accidentally put mine on backwards at first.

Funny you should say that, but it does appear that the gas tube could (without the roll pin) could slide all the way through. Never seen that. All lopro blocks I've seen had been closed off on one end. Also to note, looking at the front of the block, it does have some carbon build up in a recessed area of the block right where the gas tube is.

No that's not it, it would not work at all if that were the case.

I'm a total noob when it comes to suppressor a and SBRs, but how would a suppressor affect the cycling of the weapon?

Hmm. Read my post #39 for an explanation of my gas block. not questioning y'all experience, it just doesn't look like other blocks I've seen.

Suppressors increase the pressure and duration of gases inside the gun. If a gun is suffering from insufficient gas, a suppressor will likely cause the weapon to function, but when it's removed (and the gas pressure decreases) problems will arise.

To comment on the hand guard length. I finally got my 7.5" pistol put together. I went with a 7.6" Samson evolution hand guard and a DPMS levang compensator, the handguard is long enough to give it the seamless look.

Thought i heard you say it'd still work, just wouldn't cycle.
