I'm really torn between the price of the TLR-3 and my loyalty towards Surefire. Definitely a good deal on both lights with the nod obviously going towards the cheaper price of the TLR-3. But you can't deny the Surefire with the higher lumens and the TIR lens. I've had a number of Surefire lights but none with the TIR lens. From what I understand, it throws a longer, tighter beam for the same amount of lumens. Need to research this further. Wonder how long the prices are good for?

    As for light, I'd go tlr1 or Tlr3. Maybe a surefire x300
I was almost decided on the Raven holster because I thought it was the only keydex holster that offered the ability to mount a weaponlight on. But than I checked out the RDR holster and it was a great value compared to the Raven and looked to be a better holster. But now I'm checking out the Bravo RTT holster and for a little more money, I get a holster that can be worn either OWB or IWB. Need to look into this further but this looks like what I'll go with pending my weaponlight decision.

If you are like me Jose, I have multiple holsters for different occasions/guns. When you lay eyes on me.....I have at least two guns on me at all times. Diff holsters for diff clothes.

My daily is a Walther PPS. and a LCP back up. I am not a fan of Keydex, too stiff. I like leather.

I normally have two holsters for every type of gun I own, an IWB and OWB holster. I like kydex because of the ease of gun reholstering. I recently bought my first leather holster, a Mitch Rosen for my LCR, and I'm really digging it. Can't remember the name of the holster I was looking into for my 1911 but it was really nice.

Off to decide on lights again

Decided on a Streamlight TLR-1s over the TLR-3 or Surefire X300. I was set to go with the TLR-3 but than saw that it uses different batteries than I thought it did. Can't remember what batteries they are off hand but I wanted a light that uses CR-123's as I'm already using those for my flashlights and have a few rechargeable and regular batteries. Another bonus is the TLR-1s has a strobe function, never had a light with that feature before. Also I was reading how the mount that Streamlight uses for attaching the light to the gun is more secure than Surefire's although a little slow to mount. Also decided on the Bravo Concealment holster, just gotta figure out how exactly I want to option it out.

Wow! That was quick. Got the light in today and it arrived a lot quicker than I thought it would. Need to make up my my mind on the holster so I can start carrying this thing.

Thank you for recommending to me Bravo Concealment. Local (Texas) company that puts out a great product. Unfortunately it took every bit of two months waiting on the holster but it was worth it. Fit is a little tight (it's catching a little bit of the front sight) and finish is very good. I should have ordered the soft belt loops when I bought the holster as what comes with it is really for OWB carry. Might have to order another one for use without the light although it does work to a fashion (gun will holster but has no retention). Great product.

Got this in a week ago and have been wearing it daily. My only complaint is that the belt loops that come with it are a PITA to feed my Wilderness gun belt through.
