Price gouging from Expensive as Shit, Dicks not selling ARs, and otber similar activities bothered me enough to stop doing business there. A local gun shop was selling pmags for $75 and I refuse to step foot in there anymore.

Magpul not leaving CO did not bother me that much; yes it was immature to do, but they still make good products and their prices are good. I have never had a pmag fail, and that is good enough for me to keep buying them.

Colt competition is a seperate commercial entity, Remington is in the process of relocating entirely to AZ (my editor is at their facility right now), and kahr/ptr/ati made good on their claims. I will continue to patronize their businesses.

I didn't look at Spike's during the run, I did see Aero gouging a bit. Another that I didn't mention is CDNN, those fuckers are STILL pretending to be Cheaper Than Dirt with their $299 stripped LWRC lowers.

LOL, I'm sure they do. My problem with building them was getting in spec receivers. PTR has HK spec receivers, almost all their cuts are perfect and in spec. I had a century receiver gun (CETME) that was a gigantic pain in the ass to get it running. Originally it was a completely out of spec non functioning gun. I picked it up for nothing and I ran across a century receiver off craigslist. I like blame the problems on Century, because they are the reason I had to take it apart, but I made the best gun I could with the parts. I had to raise the FCG up higher than spec to get the disconnector/hammer to actuate properly. But, when it was done it ran fine. The two other receiver guns were much easier. I borrowed the mandrel tool from militaryfirearm.com (they have a list over there you can get on) and it made a great receiver to start with. The first one I did was with a used trunion, the second one was a new trunion, which was much easier. Now that PTR is making affordable guns building a HK91 from a parts kit isn't really economical, they are a big pain in the ass to build. I'm glad they stepped in because Century had no fucking idea what they were doing on HK platform. Every single HK gun they built I have been able to find problems with.

I think Century uses a configurable mandrel for all their stamped guns, in addition to just plain rushing things out the door. Inconsistency in the tooling has go to be why all their guns are so inconsistent. PTR has the Portuguese H&K tooling, so they win at life.

Indeed. I will review a product or something and continually reference their failure to make good on their statement.

By the way, have you gotten a shotgun certificate yet? If so I may uh... I may be able to help you with a completely unrelated matter regarding your wedding gift.

On regards to this Alex, I am still waiting for someone in the UK to have the balls and be my referee. Also need to get my psych evaluation from my GP and of course pay the fee of £50. This is by no means an acceptance as I was told by my local constable that immigrants that aren't citizens usually get declined. I am downright fucked out of my rights. Not to mention that also everything here is retardedly expensive. Each county also has their own licensing. and there is over 30,000 in my county alone with firearm licenses. My wife apparently hates guns as she rolls her eyes at my attempts of not being symbolically castrated. Also makes crude comments on how there is no land for me to shoot regardless of the fact that there are twice as many gun ranges near me than there was in Arlington TX. Also all withing 20 miles of me. What did you have in mind?

That is strange Adolpho, but LOL at the amount of gun ranges being so great.
