Have you ever tried it yourself? I have and it is pretty easy. The KGB also tried it with conscripts with zero training and had them try it and more then half were able to do it and almost all of them could with 3 hours of training. Didn't you watch the KGB files on the discovery channel?

The trick to rapid firing a bolt gun is the use your middle finger to pull the trigger and to never let go of the bolt.

Not to derail but... Did anyone else see the show on the theory that Oswald fired shot 1 and 2 and the kill shot (#3) was an accidental discharge from the M16 in the secret service car behind the limo? Probably the most plausible theory I have seen so far.

There's a pretty good established record of three shots fired. Yes I find it implausible an M16 accidentally went off (safety off, finger on trigger) in a horizontal path outside of the window/out of the way of the windshield forward and slightly down into the head of JFK. It sounds ridiculous.

This. The 6.5 Carcano was a (for its bore) heavy round nose FMJ bullet. It wouldn't have deformed much, just deflected off hard objects, hence the, "magic," part of the name.

It was a straight path. Incorrect conspiracy theorists with bad data started the "turning path" garbage. They incorrectly presumed the seating positions in a factory 1963 continental were the same as in the president's lincoln. Due to the armor connally sat further to the center than a factory car, and JFK sat higher. When they are in the proper location the bullet path was straight. Conspiracy sensationalism. All of this is covered in that Discovery documentary I referenced earlier.
