7 1/2 in model one upper with YHM handguard built on one of the lowers I got from one of the group buys. Right now its got a vortex strike on it that has work the best so far.

            lol.

You have to love SBR AK's that do not have a krink rear sight. You have a rifle with a smaller sight radius than a pistol. You don't have a chance in hell of hitting ANYTHING over 50 yards

So why would you want to build an AR pistol just out of curiosity? Because you can technically have a shorter barrel without tax stamp? What are the stipulations as far as the stock?

Yeah, pretty much. I already have a couple AR rifles and want a couple pistols. The ones I'm going to build will have a buffer tube. You can build them without a buffer tube but I haven't done much research into that.

I heard people who build ar pistols and drive big trucks are just overcompensating...

The only thing I'm compensating for is not having a Milan...

I am building one because I didn't have the $$$ for a stamp. Now that things are better financially hopefully 2014 will bring a trust and some NFA goodies

I am thinking about picking up on of the SIG 556s sold as a pistol.

So what qualifies an AR as a pistol? No stock?
