I ordered some lowers the other day and want to build two pistols out of them. I have read on AR-15.com that lowers have to be registered as a pistol, other people say as long as the lower hasn't been built into a rifle you can use it for a pistol. Can anyone clear some of this up for me?

Confirm when you fill out your paperwork for the transfer. IIRC as long as it isn't stated that they are for a rifle or long gun you are gtg. I asked Jeff when I picked up my poly lower and he said it was all good. I can't remember what the correct designation is for the paperwork.Originally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.

It's simply recorded as a 'frame' or 'receiver' in the books. So long as its not recorded as a rifle, which it shouldn't be anyways, then you're good to go.
