  • Looking for a youth single shot .22

Looking for a youth single shot .22lr like a H&R Sportster, Marlin 915y, XT-22y, etc. Anyone seen one for sale in the area? I did find the H&R at Gander Mountain, but they want about $50 more than it should be.

Savage makes one now with the accutrigger. I think it retails for around $200.

The Midlothian Walmart had a Marlin. I think it was $117. I can't remember.

Why not a bolt action? Is what I learned on.

It's about time the midlothian walmart started carrying firearms.

I think the crickets are perfect for kids.

I stop by there often. They've been a good spot for ammo lately. They must've recently started carrying firearms.

                    Dude, I'm all fucked up!

The ammo was in Midlo and the .22 was in Waxahachie

I will go back and look over whatever else I've posted tonight, in the morning. Too many beers

Another vote for a Savage Mark I single shot bolt action. The FVT model has peep sights or they have the G Youth model that is a little smaller with open sights. The Rascal says it's only 2.6 lbs too.

I picked up a crickett for my daughter and she loves it. Looking back I might have gone with a Henry mini-bolt though.

The crickett and rascal are just so small. He will grow out of it in no time.
