Anyone familiar with the different lines of Savage rifles? I could use some input.

I've used a Savage Axis XP, buddy got it for like 320ish out the door with a mounted scope. It's a budget gun but shoots fairly well. It's external magazine fed and the magazine is sloppy. You gotta get it just right to seat properly or the gun just goes click when you take your shot. Trigger is a little clunky and none adjustable. Craftsmanship appears to be good. It's not the best rifle you'll ever shoot but for 320 ready to go out of the box it's not bad at all. Only one I've ever person fired

I've been thinking about a bolt action for a while and the only Savage I have experience with is my 93R17 in .17HMR. Unfortunately their website doesn't give much info as to what's considered their low end and what's high end. You can tell a little based on price but that's about it.

I'm wanting something that I can mount a scope on and have a solid shooter. I'm not looking for any 1000+ yard rifle or any sort of competition rifle. I really liked the accutrigger in my Savage 93, so if I can get away with not having to do any trigger work on a rifle, I'd like to.

I have been handling a few CZ rifles lately. I have been impressed with the fit/finish of just about every long gun I have handled. The 527 series as well as the 455 series. Take a look at a few of those.

Missed that completely. I've been using their rifle browser.

I have a 111FXCP3 30-06 I bought in '06. I've never shot it. I'm looking to get rid of it, too. Came with Simmons scope and accu trigger.

My opinion as I have also been looking for a few months...need a brother to go with my Tikka 7-08

Axis - COMPLETE budget rifle, no frills, no extras
                10 - Tactical line
                11- Hunting line
                12- Long Range Precision Line
14 - dont know, stopped at the 12 LRP

In a nutshell of course. You can get down to the details though I started out going off of look, stock, heavy barrel...etc
Once I found the style I liked, I started to look at the details.

I bought a savage 30.06 from Walmart with a scope for under $300 and I haven't had a problem with it in 2 years. It shoots pretty straight right off the shelf.

I have an Axis .308, and it's a decent shooter for a sub-$400 rifle. It shoots right at 1moa. The trigger is heavy as hell though, right at 6.5 lbs. I'm thinking of doing the ballpoint pen spring mod to the trigger to drop it down to about 3 lbs.

Savage 10 (11,11,12,14 ect) series are all the same actions. Just different barrel/stock combos. Falls into 2 versions. Long base. 4.25inch spacing (I believe, don't quote me) newer, accutrigger rifles. and short base 4.10inch (again dont quote me) actions.

                      11X - long action
                      1X - short action

If it was me and I were building a rifle to tinker with I'd grab a Stevens 200 (same 10 series action) throw a decent barrel and stock and grab a SSS trigger and be done.

I'd rather go with something that doesn't need a trigger dropped into it. The Accutrigger is pretty damn nice for a factory trigger.

I was waiting for you to chime in. Are the rifles with the accustocks worth the extra money?

Unless you're dropping coin for a crazy benchrest/tactical super stock, they really are. As far as synthetic stocks go, they're stupid rigid. You might want to look at the precision carbine. That ought to get you into all the features you're eyeballing at a good price. Text incoming.
