  • two ruger SAA i need yalls opinions

Basically two I'm looking at. Both at 45LC/.45ACP convertibles. (What I want. Have a shit ton of acp). Both SAA revolvers. Both are blackhawks so they have adjustable rear sights.
    1. New Blackhawk 4.62in barrel in black with black grips. Mint. (Preowned)
2 Bisley Blackhawk 5.5in barrel in stainless. Mohogany wood grips. Mint. (Preowned)
What is the difference between them? The bisley is heftier and has a more downward curved grip. It seems to have a crisper action. Has an odd angled grip and different looking hammer.
This will be for plinking, hence the want for convertible model.
The new blackhawk is advertised as 499.99
The Bisley is advertised at 529.99
Lmk what the pro's and con's are from a professional SAA enthusiast. I'm very much recreational/novice but want a nice cowboy revolver that accepts acp. I've had a .38 SAA and it just didn't feel right. Size wise and weight. Felt small...
    Thanks!

Get the Bisley and swap me all the grip/hammer/trigger stuff if you don't like it. I'll pay you in beers or the difference between the two in cash, and do all the work.

EDIT: The primary difference between the two is, the Bisley is for target shooting, and is more forgiving with hot hand loads. I presume you'll be shooting factory ammo, so you really don't need it. The extra barrel length won't hurt you, though. It should make it more accurate, really. I have a Blackhawk in .44SPL I want to work up some hot loads for, so I'd like to eventually convert it to a Bisley grip. It's black, though, so if we did swap, you'd end up with a two-tone.

Sorry Yale. If this is the pistol my parents get me for Xmas, I won't be switching anything. The hammer and trigger are crisp and nice. I love the reach of the hammer.
