            Dang I step away for a day or two and I missed the run up. Thanks for all the interest and I was able to find the rifle a new home.

                What a nice guy.

                It turned out to be a National Ordinance Inc. rifle, not an original 1903. It was built in the 50's-60's using USGI parts kits. The receiver is the shitty part though, unfortunately they were built with cast steel and have a pretty spotty safety record. Before it can be shot I am going to have to replace the receiver, modify the stock so the a3 bolt will close properly, buy and install a rear sight, and buy and install the proper bayonet band.

                Here is some reading on the National Ordinance Inc. rifles.
