Where to buy paracord locally?

Need to replenish what I used on my last two camping trips and what I've used to wrap a machete handle. Any ideas? Countycom has them for $6.50 for 100 feet which is the only place I've really ordered this from and I'm curious if that's a good deal or not and if it can be had locally.

Locally, I'd check an Army/Navy store. Otherwise you're stuck with shopping online and I typically find it for $.75 - $1.00 per 10 feet, so yeah, that's a deal.

yes sir! They have a few colors as well. I found it by the ropes and chains section

Harbor Freight has it listed at $2.99 for 75' in their most recent circular, but it doesn't appear to be real "550" cord since they describe it as being rated at a 244lb "working" load. Have never bought it from them nor do I know the quality though.

BTW.. Since my time in the Army, as I'm sure any veterans will attest, I always keep a supply of it handy since it has so many uses. Good stuff!

There are different strengths to "550" chord. Make sure you are getting military grade.

What kills me is how much we used to have and I never appreciated / appropriated any. We used to have the big spools of it by the dozens. That and "100mph" tape. Those 2 things alone, in sufficient quantity, can solve just about any problem and serve as a great survival kit on their own.

Hellz yes. I have a ton stashed away somewhere, but I wish I had more, and wish I could find what I do have.
