As some of you already know, I work for HP. They have this recognition thing where your boss can give you points that you can exchange for gifts off a company website. On Saturday I was awarded 1500 points. I shopped all over the site and frankly, most of it was crap our beyond the points I have.

However I found something great. A $25 gift card from Cabelas for 92 points. 1500/92=16 (rounded off). 16*25=$400..

I'm pretty sure I'm going pistol shopping this weekend..

BTW, any opinions on the Glock M19? I was going to get the Beretta PX4 Storm .40 but I was very surprised by how much I liked shooting the Glock last weekend. I'd love to hear any opinions or alternatives that I should look at..

I think the Glock 19 is a great gun and I would personally choose it over the Storm but that's only because I have more time with Glocks (19, 23, 27, 22). What are they going for? Have you shot a Storm before?

Glock 19 is a 9mm, Glock 23 is a .40 built on the same frame. Both solid guns.

I rented and shot with the .40 PX4 at Eagle Gun Range just last weekend. I sucked ass with it for some reason. A buddy and I went ahead and rented a Glock M19 based on an employee's suggestion and it was like night and day. Keep in mind I haven't kept in practice since I left the Army over 15 years ago. The M19 is going for $519 at Cabelas.

At my job we get awards that we csn redeem for gift cards, travel, etc. I always get Cabelas or Bass Pro and is how I get most of my firearms related items...

While I don't own Glocks, i've shot friends G19, G23, and G26. They are solid pistols. You can't go wrong with a G19. I just tend to prefer all metal guns over polymer.

I wouldn't recommend the Beretta PX4 Storm. Buddy of mine and I went to some training and that thing ran like crap on the 2nd day of shooting. Further, since the slide was so short and the spring so robust, it made chamber checking for my friend tough.
