Got a new rifle!!

Remington 700 5R in an AIAX chassis. Chambered in 300 Win Mag. Now I just need to find an optic. These pic is from the add. And it didn't come with the scope, bipod, or monopod. I'm going to switch the brake so that I can run my SAS can, and put the same monopod and bipod on it that is in the pics. I found a badger 20 MOA rail on the hide that should be here monday. Now I just need to figure out what optic to run. I'm really thinking about the Bushnell XTR 4.5-30x50. Seems like a hell of a scope for the money and I like the lifetime warranty. I'm debating on whether or not to do that, or just suck it up and snag a Schmidt and Bender PMII 5-25x56. Obviously two different scopes, just need to figure out how much money I want to spend, lol.

Those two scopes aren't even in the same ballpark. If you have the coin the S&B won't disappoint.

I know that, lol. I'm just trying to decide on what to do. The Bushnell should be a damn nice scope, and it's in a FFP. So is the S&B, but that's neither here nor there. I wouldn't mind another NF, but a FFP NF is over 3k, might as well get the S&B. Do you have any experience with the Schmidt's?

Just looked through a few of their hunting scopes and was hugely impressed. Is the NF beast 3k I didn't think it was that high. Another option is a US Optics they are equally as awesome.

You could get a mil-rad 5-20ish FFP Night Force for around $2k if you hunted around, but it wouldn't be a zero-stop model. Very nice rifle, dude!

Thanks guys. And as far as USO goes, honestly, everything of theirs that I've picked up was, eh, ok. And when it's just a couple hundred off of a S&B, if I'm going to spend USO money, I'm getting a S&B.

Understandable. The Bushnell scopes I have are very nice though none are in their tactical line just their Elite series and the glass was very surprising. Another option that you might look into is the Leopold MK6 and MK8 line they are getting a ton of good reviews and might be a good buy with a military discount.

EDIT: Of course I'm wrong. All I could find were NXS scopes sub-$2k. You could always get a 5-22x, and dial it in at 11x. Then it'd be easy enough to adjust your calculations.
