  • Best places to buy a pistol

Besides the gun shows, I'm looking for the best retail outlets to buy a new pistol. I'm going for a Beretta PX4 Storm Compact .40. Cabelas website shows the regular price listed for $549.99 on their site but there appears to be an extra $50 off this week. I'm not sure if that is a great price or not.

I'm looking for this in a retail outlet:

    -Fair price
-Great service during and after the buy
    -knowledgeable staff

Me and the guys from church are going to the gun range next week and I figure this is as good of an excuse as any to get a new pistol..

That seems like a fair deal. I've only bought a scope from Cabelas before, never a firearm. I'd rate their staff 4 of 5.

I've had nothing but good dealings with Cabelas, and their prices are usually reasonable.

Wholesale on that gun is 469.99. (Px4 compact). Beretta will warranty the gun, not Cabalas. They will only ship for the customer. That is not a bad price.

I like Ray's and Bachman the best.

Bachman is good too. Also, they are a bit of a drive (unless you catch them at a gun show), but Schramm (http://www.sawguns.com) are good too. I've purchased a lot from them ober the years.

I really like white wing weaponry, they had some px4's in a while back, don't know if they still do. It is run by two brothers, Jeremy and Jordan, great guys, they have lower prices than a academy on most things too. They do cerakoting and have an onsite gunsmith.

That doesn't seem too high for that gun. My cousin has one and loves it. I have a beretta 96d and love it.

I buy almost all my guns from Budsgunshop.com. In my experience, their prices are hard to beat, especially if you know a dealer that will only charge you 10 or 15 bucks for the transfer.
