I would like to mention however that no AK is fun suppressed. They are actually very shitty and not fun when shooting suppressed. It's like getting smelling salts fired into your nose each time you squeeze the trigger.

I hunt hogs at night with my 6.8 AR. It's got an SWFA SS 1-4x24 Tactical scope with illuminated T reticle and a Hogzilla green LED light. It's not night vision, but works good on the piggies up to 200 yards. Hand loads with 140 gr Berger VLDs will just fit in PRI mags.

I've looked into but just can't justify the price when I can do pretty darn good with what I have.

Also forgot in my original post a shotgun and flashlight works wonders around the house as well.

I suppose it also matters how much you hunt at night. I use a PVS-14 for hunting behind a red dot or scope.

By shooting in the day time. I'd probably get one of those green illumination lasers, if I really wanted to shoot at night. If I had to press it into service as is, I'd probably just use it on the lowest power setting and hope for enough moonlight. I can shoot alright under those conditions.

My marlin 60 .22 auto. So I have 18 rounds to compensate for not being able to see in the dark.

I've shot several with no artificial light under anything half moon and larger.

18" 6.8 AR with Leupold VXR Patrol 3-9x illuminated firedot scope and a Hogzilla Light. Plan on using it year around for deer and hog this year. Other than that I use a Savage 11 7mm-08 bolt action.

I prefer a sharpened stick and the light of a full moon.
