The button is ambidextrous so I moved it to the opposite side and have not had a mag drop issue since. I did just take it out recently and fired 150 rounds through it. I had a magazine that had one FTF right after another, only when shooting one handed. Shooting with both hands it was fine. I've read these guns are sensitive to limp wristing so...
It's fantastic for its ergonomics and is very comfortable to carry, but as of now I don't trust the one I have.

    My "range report"

Well that sucks. Sounds like it has some issues with limp wristing and ergonomics.

I had one and sold it. Primer swipe was pretty pronounce. I also found endless debates on whether the barrel was too short for the .45ACP to reach full velocity. I read and read and never got to the end. These two issues bothered me enough to move on to another pistol.

Thanks for all the advice. Still trying too convince the wife that I need another gun. I'm about there....think I'm gonna get it. I figure if I don't like it I should be able to get my money back.

Remember, you're not 'buying another gun', you're 'investing'. Buy her a purse or makeup and call it even.

If it's not gonna break you, and it's not her money, what's the problem?

I got the 9, 40, and 45 version. All decent guns.

I use them primarily for new shooters the difference between in recoil between the calibers.

I had the 40, several FTE then it broke with less than 200 rounds. Sent it back to Taurus to get fixed and sold it as soon as I got it back to a friend. Around 1000 rounds later it had a cracked slide and Taurus replaced it for free.

Their 24/7s are a lot better IMHO

Finally took the gun out today. Ran 50 rounds thru it with no issues. It does have an odd trigger pull, but with a little practice it was ok. Overall Im very pleased with it, especially for the money.

I hope you plan to run a lot more before considering it for concealed carry use. I'd say minimum 500 rounds.
