Both of my wholesalers do not have that gun in stock. I agree, 450 is a bit too much. He is reaching because of the newness of the caliber. JMHO.
(I do have a BNIB Marlin .17HMR in stock if you want to go that way fairly cheap.)

Wholesale on that gun is around 270 bucks. Add shipping around 22.50 to the dealer. That puts the cost just under 300 to the dealer. Academy and large retailers can afford to make 20 bucks a gun because they buy so many. Try those guys for little less on guns(if they have them in stock that is).
