50#'s will take down a kansas whitetail. Most of the shots from the stands you'll be hunting are 30 yards and under. I have a 50-60# bow with it set on 60. I can pull it back like butter no matter how cold it gets, sitting down.

If you cant pull it back sitting down with out performing some sort of contortion act the poundage needs to be turned down.

Im letting him come Kansas whitetail hunt next year. He came and turkey hunted with me this year and was only able to stay what 1 actual day? Him and his dad still put two birds on the ground, so it wasnt a total waste.

Btw if you think the spring was cold just wait.

Youll have a shot at something no doubt. Esp the first 11 days of nov. We will put you in the draw for the federal wildlife refuge next door too. Both peices of property border it, so might as well be able to hunt it.

Ive never been drawn and i put in every year.

That would be cool. But just hunting on your place is fine by me.

Thats a sad statement there. Hopefully the world will be rid of dumb Fucks making statements like that real soon.

Its the same thing as when compounds came out vs traditioal bow hunters. A cross bow to me is a muzzleloader with a arrow atached to it and I dont consider crossbows archery.

Might as well just hunt in rifle season with a rifle.

Hey there is nothing wrong with hunting with a rifle, especially when the deer is at a feeder when you're only 50 yards away.
