Anyone here have one? I've been looking for a new sporting/bird gun and I had the chance to shoot the Cordoba this weekend. I'd like to see how similar they are.

No not reliably and they want him to send it back to the main factory. Same guy that owns it also had 2 M2 20g that never ran right after going to service centers a few times so he sold both at the Tulsa gun show."It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand!"

That's strange!!! I've shot a SBE (not the II) and liked it a lot and now I own a Super Sport, like the Cordoba but more "bling".
I've never had problems with my gun even going a full year without cleaning the action on it and it was pretty nasty in there. Certainly not possible with a gas gun, but mine still ran like a champ!
As for the SBE II, ask yourself if you need 3.5 in shell capability? If yes, it's likely for goose hunting and I'd recommend the Super Nova for that (I have one of those as well) as you will be in some cold, sandy hole somewhere and your gun will get nasty! The Super Nova is really very affordable and I don't mind a pump while goose hunting. Combine that with a Cordoba or Sport, Super Sport, etc. and you'll have the best of both worlds for just a little more than the SBE II.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.

Hmm, wonder what the issue is. The Cordoba I shot this weekend ran beautifully, my 1100 on the other hand did not, and I'm not sure I'm ready to drop close to $2k into a shotgun.

I have an SBE2 with 28" barrel. I love it. I use it mostly for duck hunting, and dove hunting. So far, the only thing is doesnt seem to like are Kent shells (3", #3's). It fails to eject all the way on those shells occasionally, which seems odd to me. That is the only shell I have had it do it on though, everything else it hasnt been an issue. I love the feel of it, and it fits me great.

Ask yourself is the few hundred bucks worth it for 3 1/2 in shells if you never plan to go goose.
I picked up a benelli m2 instead for duck and saved the cash as I don't plan to Goose hunt.
Shot my cousins SBE and loves it by the way. If you want to shoot my M2 let me know we can put a few shells thru it.

I'm also willing to let you guys shoot my Super Sport... I've used it from Dove to Duck with excellent results. It will eat any 2 3/4 shell or 3" shell I've fed it and just plain works.
Hell, if we want to do a get together again I'll bring it out like the last time when CJ organized the shoot.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.
