What the hell is going on with Form 3's?

That is what I am having a hard time understanding. Everytime I call I think I get a different answer now.

+90days now? doesn't sound right but whatever. I will call them in October and ask again.

This is for my two Form 1s, SBR.

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamnnn... 6 months to go pending!!?!? Holy shit! My personal experience is once you go pending the timer starts on the traditional 6-9mo wait. It is possible they are waiting until later to put them in pending status. I certainly hope so. My last app with pending in 2 months after sending, for reference.

Guy from TacPro was supposed to call me back today and never did. Starting to think I'm gonna get a refund and try to find someone with the suppressor in stock. Feel like I'm being lied to especially when he can give me a serial number. So don't deal with TacPro if you can avoid it!

I have a good friend in DFW that is waiting on 3 Forms in for two suppressors and one factory Kriss SBR. These forms have been in for over 20 months. He is on a Trust and has a couple stamps already but they are on Form 1 stuff. Those stamps came back in 4-5 months. I have begged him to get the S/N from the FFL and call the ATF. He blew it off and tried to convince me that there was no need and the guy was on the up and up. Mind you, the FFL used his checks to cover the stamp fees, filled out the documents and mailed them off to the ATF. The FFL has handled everything. Then the FFL got real sick. Stopped answering the phones. Son claimed his dad was to ill to handle it. Guy gets better, now can't find copies of the cashed checks, ect.

FINALLY he gets a S/N and he calls the ATF. The ATF claims that they can not find the 3 forms and that according to them, the Texas region had a bunch of misfiled documents.

So we have a case of the FFL being full of shit and taking money for 3 NFA items, lying for almost 2 years, then the ATF is clueless and gives merit to the FFL's story with their "misfiled, maybe, we are looking into it" story.

DO NOT give your FFL money and let them do all the work. Put deposit on items, pay in full when you can put your hands on them and verify the S/N, mail the Form yourself, track the Form yourself, pay the fee yourself from your own checking account, and use the FFL only to hold your NFA item until the ATF sends YOU the Form back. My buddy is too fucking trusting and I want to kick him in the balls sometimes.

As soon as I can get him to give me the guys name I am posting it. He is supposedly a well known NFA FFL in DFW. Older dude.

I hate dealing with those guys. I once watched them tell a guy that was coming in to pick up an ordered AI .338LM rifle they were giving his rifle to the next guy on the waiting list because he got a delay when they called NICS. I still like their facility, but I'd never use their, "pro shop," for an NFA item. Hell, I'd rather not buy anything from them I don't have to.

Really the only reason I went to TacPro is because he mentioned that when he actually has the suppressor you could shoot it there as long as it stayed on the property and you turned it in before you left. Had I known I'd get the run around or lied to I'd have never went.

Another thing is when I call to ask questions it's like I'm asking too much of him. Then he acts like I know nothing. When I tell him about the average 90 days for form 3s he says it isn't fixed and could take longer. Then I tell him that is per AAC and he changes by saying well it should be here soon.

My only thing is if you waited a week or two weeks or a month to actually order it just tell me and don't lie. On their receipt it says cancelled order and restocking fees are subject to a %25 fee. Just hoping that when I attempt to get my money back he doesn't try to charge me that fee.
