I have a SOG Flash II that I use for small game (I can have a rabbit or squirrel ready to throw on the grill in a minute or two) and a KBAR with a gut hook for larger game.

When you absolutely positively need to kill every motherfucker in the room use the RTAKII.

The kits are a joke. My skinning knife alone cost $50 or more...

Maybe it's not outdoor edge now that I think about it. I'll try to post a pic. It's the best damn skinning knife I've found for the price...

It is outdoor edge, but it's not cheap like their kits.

Japanese AUS-8 steel - Razor fucking sharp

Use this one for some of the harder to reach areas...

You guys that are using a saw for bones are you quartering your deer? I have never used one when just field dressing or skining.

Yes, I have always gutted, skinned, and quartered all of my deer. Pack it in ice and take to processor or butcher it myself if I don't want any sausage or special cuts...

I bone it out as it hangs. Only thing I do is split the pelvis. Just a good wack with a hatchet or sharp knife and I'm gtg.

I use an Outdoor Edge Swingblade. It works great for me. I do not understand anyone who needs anything to process a deer but a sharp knife.
