Age for first gun?

I got my daisy red rider bb gun for my 7th birthday, still have it, 32 now. My first rifle was bought either just before or just after I was born. The sales guy asked my dad what it was for and he said his first son. He made my father promise not to give it to me until my 12th birthday. I got it my 12th Christmas. Winchester Model 94 in 22 mag. I've put 25 rounds through it to this day.

My son started when he was 5 ish i think, bought him his own 10/22 when he was 6 and a Mosquito when he was 8.

I got an air rifle and pistol at the age of ten. Only shot them at a friend's ranch in Mexico. Never got into firearms. A friend of mine took me shooting with pistols at 22. cj showed me all the cool guns at 24. Bought guns at 24. My children will be shooting ar15 at six years old.
