3 y/I daughters bet g'day party today so no hunting for me

Had an oh shit moment the other morning. I was with a buddy at his lease and we get there just at daybreak. We see this huge body deer go into the woods. He tries to rattle him back out. While we are looking that way another buck comes out at 50 yards charging us. By the time I got set up to shoot and try to wait on him to turn he was at 10 yards. I shot him in the chest and he ran right beside us and fell 20 yards behind us. I also shot 3 turkeys with 1 rifle shot. It was a crazy day for sure.

I finally got to go out this past weekend. Saw a few deer, nothing special. I did shoot a pig.
She dropped something at the point of impact
and what's odd is that she had a tag in her ear.
I know guys that will catch boars, cut them and release them but I've never seen them catch females, tag them and release them."A bad day hunting beats a good day at work"

Believe it or not, there are people from Alabama that hunt feral hogs out near some property that I hunt and they use dogs to catch them alive and they take them back to Alabama in big cages. I don't know if they sell them or wait for them to multiply and then sell them or what, but it's one of the strangest things I've seen.Comment
