  • Cannon Scout 24-Gun Safe

I came to the realization that I need a gun safe. Wondering if anyone has a Cannon Scout 24-Gun Safe. If so how many long rifles can you actually fit in there? As of now I have 5 AR's, 1 AK-47 & a couple of hunting rifles with scopes. Also have about 10 pistols. Lots of ammo & magazines as well.

You can fit as many as you can squeeze into it provided your barrels fit inside it (tape measure works wonders). I think if you looked around for a few days you could probably find one cheaper on craigslist or various other places.

That is going to fill up fast and you will be wishing you bought bigger. I went with a 35 and still wished it was bigger.

If you didn't need any of the shelves other than the top one, you could store all the ammo and mags elsewhere and save space. The cheapo stackon lockers are great for stuff you want to keep locked up but isn't exactly a firearm. I have one that I just need to cut shelves for and organize it.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Main reason for buying from Academy is that I have a friend that can get me the discount there. Might have to go with the 64-Gun Safe but only problem is that I won't be able to get it into my master bedroom. I can however get it into one of my spare bed rooms.

I have that safe pretty much it is pretty good I am not sure how they fit that may in it If you stand them up the way tilt is designed they will not stay so you have to lean them back. I actually had to make a shelf that fit bottum for the AR's to stay in the slot it was too short as well as a couple other rifles I have. I also made a couple shelfs that fit in teh top to hold ammo and documents

Get the biggest one you can afford / have space for. I have one about that size and I could probably get 24 hunting style guns in it, my ARs and AKs tend need a little more room. My scoped rifles will not fit easily in the notched against the outer walls, not enough clearance for the scope. Getting a rifle out of the back normally requires removal of most of the the inventory in the front. Shelf space fills up quick too.

only advice i can give is once you decide on what size you need/want, get the next size up from that.

                god bless.

I don't know if you would do this for a DFWstanger or not, but I've been trying to find a safe much like that. Any chance of getting a hookup?

D/FW area. I guess it has to be purchased in that store where your friend works?

It may be worth it depending on the discount...

The cheapest price I have found on the Cannon 40 Series (the 64 gun one that was posted) is $1069.

Saw these at the NRA show and they are pretty slick.

You might want to take a look at this thread on Texas Hunting Forum....

I have a Winchester safe with a digital key pad on it. The battery was going dead on it so I replaced it, now it won't open. When you enter the code it acts like it recognizes it but its not unlocking and it's not giving any kind of series of beeps indicating something is wrong. I'm panick...
