Yeah that's sacrilege. Dirty Harry - Model 29. The Model 29, while being the best and smoothest action of the .44 mag wheels guns, is rather weak when it comes to high power loads. If your goal is to buy a Model 29 and shoot 300gr hot loads through it you better expect it to stretch the frame. They can't take the hot stuff. Anaconda's can take hot loads, and Ruger Redhawks can take.. well... redhawk loads.

We're on opposite sides of the same fence, dude. I really want a Blackhawk Bisley, in .44 Special. They make a 3.75" .44 Magnum version, but it's the larger frame Super Blackhawk. I just want the smaller gun, and it'll handle pretty hot Special loads, anyway.
.44 special originally was loaded hot as shit, to the point of being dangerous, hence .44 magnum cartridge came around. But you can load .44 spc hot enough to equal just about any store bought .44 mag load.
