If you're looking for something a little different, I'm a huge fan of Dan Wesson revolvers. They are some of the most accurate revolvers ever made due to the tensioned barrel shroud and they can be had for very reasonable prices. They have great trigger pulls and were winners in a lot of silhouette competitions in their heyday. They have easily interchangeable barrels as well. They got a bad name from people who didn't understand the design; because of the way the barrels interchange and attach you should occasionally check the cylinder gap and make sure the barrel nut is tight, but it's super easy and only takes a couple minutes. The guts are a very simple design compared to most revolvers and are pretty sturdy. They can be had in a lot of different calibers from .22LR to .445 Supermag. They also have beautiful blueing.
I have a 15-2VH .357 Mag that I inherited from my father that has had several thousand rounds through it and it is still tight and shoots great.
Atlantic Blue '00 - '03 Cobra motor and TKO600, solid axle, full MM suspension
Silver '01 Vette - D1 blown LS

Dan wesson revolvers are awesome. Especially if it's your first revolver and you can get a few cylinders to swap out. Phaux just bought one for a very reasonable price in .357. They are nice, and they look nice, however I would have to say they are not as refined as other top tier revolvers, but they also can do things no other revolver can, so I put them in a different class."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

A light weight .44 Mag revolver?
Fun would be a Ruger Redhawk or something similar. Light weight + high power = not fun to shoot.
A full size .357 Mag is also very "fun" to shoot.
Any of the ones pictured below, except for the snubby, would do you just fine.

I love my 6" 686's. They're pussycats
But Adam's scan/ti snubby isn't something I'd want to put a ton of rounds through.
His Super Redhawk is just downright mean. While I wouldn't mind a lightweight .44mag just to have, I can't imagine wanting to shoot it very often

Fun guns to shoot include guns that hurt me.
I was honestly disappointed with my S&W 500. I have a 44 and 45colt blackhawk and I was hoping that 500 would do the trick but no dice.. I also have a s&w 357 and ruger LCR 357 and those just don't even come close to cutting it.
I want a revolver I can't shoot one handed."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"
