Favorite wheels gun I ever had was my .44 mag Taurus raging bull. Very comfortable to shoot.

My next revolver is going to be an Anaconda.

Except that he shot light .44 Specials in a 6" (or 8 3/8" in close-ups) Smith & Wesson.

Yeah that's sacrilege. Dirty Harry - Model 29. The Model 29, while being the best and smoothest action of the .44 mag wheels guns, is rather weak when it comes to high power loads. If your goal is to buy a Model 29 and shoot 300gr hot loads through it you better expect it to stretch the frame. They can't take the hot stuff. Anaconda's can take hot loads, and Ruger Redhawks can take.. well... redhawk loads.

Dan Wessons are pretty solid, too.

+1 I've personally never shot a .44 dan wesson revolver, but all their .357's are great.

Am I the only one that thinks Redhawks are ugly?

My dad has a .357 and .44, and I have a .445 SuperMag. Beefy goodness.

I like Redhawks but Blackhawks are hideous, IMO.

I know this has been brought up before, but I'd like a Korth .357.....

We're on opposite sides of the same fence, dude. I really want a Blackhawk Bisley, in .44 Special. They make a 3.75" .44 Magnum version, but it's the larger frame Super Blackhawk. I just want the smaller gun, and it'll handle pretty hot Special loads, anyway.

.44 special originally was loaded hot as shit, to the point of being dangerous, hence .44 magnum cartridge came around. But you can load .44 spc hot enough to equal just about any store bought .44 mag load.

                              Yeah, that's why it's amusing.
