Yeah that's sacrilege. Dirty Harry - Model 29. The Model 29, while being the best and smoothest action of the .44 mag wheels guns, is rather weak when it comes to high power loads. If your goal is to buy a Model 29 and shoot 300gr hot loads through it you better expect it to stretch the frame. They can't take the hot stuff. We're on opposite sides of the same fence, dude. I really want a Blackhawk Bisley, in .44 Special. They make a 3.75" .44 Magnum version, but it's the larger frame Super Blackhawk. .44 special originally was loaded hot as shit, to the point of being dangerous, hence .44 magnum cartridge came around.
