If it wasn't finals week I would do it for you. Four hours is nothing to teach in an evening.

This guy! I did mine (new process) with him on his first class and was well worth the drive for me.. Would do a renewal with him and also recommend others.

The third renewal I didn't...just fingerprints, photograph, and fee. I am soon going to renew for the fourth time and must attend an abbreviated classroom session and re-qualify on the range. The latest State regs require attendance at such a "continuing education" class once every ten years.

Did my last one here as well. They used to offer the class split in two days if you were doing the full class, not the renewal.

The range I work with is in Rockwall (well close to it anyway). Cost is about $55 for renewals ($65 in peak seasons).

No more renewal classes for Texas CHL after September 1st (assuming Perry signs it, which I would expect). HB 48 has passed house and senate. You just have to complete your renewal application, pay your fee, and acknowledge that you have read a form on deadly force (that they will provide). All has to be done prior to your current license expiring though, so if yours does before 9/1 you're SOL.

HB 700 For open carry is still in committee, so it looks like it won't pass again. Although I probably would never open carry, I am not opposed to people exercising that right.
