  • What's it worth????

I have a guy wanting to trade me a casull raging bull .454 revolver pistol. I don't know anything about them but if the value is there and it would be an easy sell I might consider it. I have an old school 305 from my truck I am trying to sell. It has a few nice parts with it I'm asking $650 for everything I have. Is this an ok trade??

PM racrguy about the 305. He may be able to use it in his sprint car, or get you hoked up with another racer that would give you a little more than what you're asking. Without pics, there's no telling on that Taurus, but the Raging Bull is one of the few really decent Taurus products.

I'd say thats a decent trade. Icing on the cake if he throws in ammo for it.

You can buy them from $500 - $799 new depending on finish and barrel length. Hell, there are several on Gun Broker most with the 8 3/8 barrel for sale right now that are not really moving.

Its a good deal if you get A LOT of ammo with it, but you could also sell that engine for a grand easy if it runs...

The engine runs great! Has .040 flat top pistons, lunati cam, gasket matched on the heads, aluminum intake, longtube headers, billet accel distributor, full accessories for a c10 truck. Pretty much everything I could not use when I swapped the ls1 into my c10, I am selling all together. It's a great motor, I had 0 issues with made 60 lbs of oil pressure with 10-30 oil, always change the oil on time. Motor has about 25-30k on it and mostly highway miles traveling 380 from McKinney to Denton.

Dont trade. He needs to sweet'n it up somehow. Ammo is a plus, but it seems like ur losing out still.

Hrm seems like the price ranges of those fluctuates from ~525 to over 800.00 so yeah may not be that good of a trade after all. Unless as said he is uncluding lots of that 1.00/round ammo. That would be a fun hand cannon but hurt the wallet to shoot.

What are the casting numbers on the block? The only thing I can use out of that entire setup is the crank and block, depending on the casting number.

Here is the casting. It was pulled from an 87 c10 tbi truck.

                        Thanks for the info guys!

Make the trade, then let me have the gun.

A 305 has always been worth the core charge and no more, to me. I would probably trade it if the parts aren't worth well more than the difference.

I would value them around the same. A 305 is cool while you own one, but you're always fantasizing about bigger and better motors.
