Before I added a longer scope, I would load my 30 rounders with stripper clips. Id insert the mag, lock the bolt back and jam 2 stripper clips worth in.

after i cut that barrel down to 16" that really eff'd things up for awhile.
recently i cut off about *another* 12 - 15 coils off the bolt spring and now it functions flawlessly (well for 100 or so rounds we shot through it last time...)
I would highly suggest no one cut to below about 18" on any SKS, and definitely NOT on a yugo one for Gods sake!Comment
