  • Modular Gun Safes

Anyone have one of these or helped a buddy move one? Read quite a few positive things about them and they can be broken down into small moveable pieces when it's time to move which is a huge bonus.

SnapSafe has a variety of different safe sizes and wire accessories such as organizers and racks. In addition to safes, they also manufacture lock boxes and specialty safes that can be stored in vehicles, under beds, or in walls.

I would love a solid safe but don't want 700+ pounds above the basement and I don't think it's possible to get one into the basement.

I'll have to see if we carry these. Somewhat interested but would they still offer the same fire protection?

I think it's a great idea but considering it assembles with only a hammer I'm real skeptical. Can it not be pry'd apart?

It's a cool idea though but if I designed it, it would bolt together from the inside with some beefy hardware.

It is held together with tapered pins; they are ultra strong.

Yeah I believe that but per the instructions the bottom is first then the sides then the top so I'm assuming the top goes straight down onto the sides with the pins going down engaging the side pieces (im assuming anyway). What keeps the top from being pry'd upward after it's assembled? I know I must be missing something.

I just got another one last week that was just shy of 700lbs. Dropped off the tailgate of the truck, unbolted it from the skid crate. Two of us layed it on its side and slid it through the house on a piece of carpet layed upside down. Piece of cake.
