Help Identifiying a rifle

A coworker of mine was just given this rifle and is trying to find out what it is. We know its a Mauser. I am trying to figure out approximate year range, model, value. Any help would be great.
Half of history is hiding the past.

Pull the action from the stock and remove the scope, most Mauser rifles are marked on the top of the ring.
