Soap's AR-15 progress thread.

Last day of my vacation. I started what I talked about last year.

First coat is tan. That's all I have time for now. Next week I'll add the rest of the colors.

What kind of prep did you do and what kind of paint are you using?

Blasted with gun flush. Then used a scuff pad. Just using krylon camouflage spray paint. Not looking to do anything special. I had a dozen new cans laying around. And alcohol to clean.

I would have disassembled it for prep/paint.

Made good Progress today. Still not done. I need to And do all my attachments front grip. Laser Aim point red dot in one or two magazines.




Added light khaki color. Dark brown Earth And darkened everything with a light mist of flat black. Next I'll need two and a light coat of satin clearcoat.

All in all I'm pretty happy with the results. To be continued,

Lol. Dude this is my old DPMS. The first AR I bought. Few years ago. It's the one with all the Tactacool shit on it. Look at my Older threads you'll see this is my
40 lb AR.
