Mine looks the same way. I was able to push the button all the way in and turn the lever one more round and that fixed the issue

All 3 of mine did the same thing. The file\drem option is in order, to get the button to seat deep enough in the well, to allow for the mag catch to thread deeper into the button.

You could also remove some material from the back of the button. I also found that the hole that the shaft of the lever goes through was causing some binding. You may check that as well. A couple of light passes with a rat tail file will clean that up. I have spent the last hour and a half cleaning up and clearancing the holes for the takedown pins, mag release lever, and the safety selector.

The main problem I found with the rear take down pin was the relief in the area where the buffer tube screws into the receiver. It was causing the head of the takedown pin to bind up and making it pretty difficult to remove

At this point I would say that anyone not comfortable making adjustments to the lower receiver to allowveverything to move slowly, do not buy this with the intention of using a normal parts kit. The assembled lower is a better option for you. I will get some pictures up tonight or tomorrow outlining the issues and how I resolved them

I really wish I could edit posts from my phone. Just got home and figured while I was checking for binding issues, I would check magazine release. Loaded a full p-mag and it loads and seats fine, however, the magazine does not drop freely from the mag well. It is going to take some effort for this lower to function as smoothly as its aluminum counterparts

It is not catching on the release, it is binding somewhere in the mag well.

I used a foam sanding block (300 grit) in the mag well to help with that issue.

Pretty confident that I got all of the issues taken care of today. There were 3 main areas that needed attention, The magazine well, the magazine release, and the rear take down pin. Aside from these areas, I would recommend deburring all of the holes in the receiver to help ease assembly. I was able to work the trigger/hammer pin holes enough to be able to insert those by hand. If you are afraid you are going to open the holes too far, only do one side, this will allow you to insert the pins by hand and get everything lined up, and then tap them into the receiver to finish assembly. The following modifications were needed to fit a Rock River Arms LPK and Magpul pmags

First up the rear take down pin. It seemed to slide into both holes without much effort, however, once it was inserted all the way, you couldn't remove it by hand. I found that the head of the take down pin was binding on the relief in the receiver. I removed some material from the receiver and this remedied the issue:



The next area that I addressed was the magazine release lever. The relief in the receiver for the lever itself is a little small. I started by deburring the openings in the relief, then I used a Dremel tool and small grinding stone to make the relief big enough to clear the lever and to get rid of the binding that was occurring when pressing the mag release button:



The last issue that needed to be addressed was the magazine well. I first started with a full 20 round pmag. It would not drop freely from the mag well. I started by scuffing the inside of the well and sliding the magazine in and out a few times. This created shiny lines where the magazine was dragging against the receiver. These were the areas that needed worked. I spent a good deal of time with a small file, removing material, rechecking the mag, and removing more material. The end result is a free falling empty 20 rnd magazine:



This was all done with a STRIPPED lower receiver, I would assume that you would not run into these issues with one of their assembled lowers, using their polymer parts (trigger, hammer, release lever, release button, take down pins, etc). If you decide to give one of these a go, I strongly recommend assembling the mag release and checking for any binding, the take down pins and checking for function, and the trigger and hammer and checking for any binding. I polished my hammer/trigger contact surfaces and haven't noticed any binding, it all seems to work as intended.
