Just saying, you gotta think of how it would have been if things were different. I already had an AR, so I did not panic looking for one.
I've got plenty of ammo, but I don't feel like shooting it now. I've plinked a little with the .22's, shot 100 rounds of .380 through my new carry gun, and shot maybe 50 rounds of .45 since sandy hook. Normally I would have shot a couple hundred rounds through just my 1911 handguns, but I've been unable to find any white box that I plink with.
It has opened my eyes a good bit. If/when prices drop and availability increases I will buy a reloader and enough stuff to last me 10+ years. I didn't sweat the ban too much but I still impulse purchased a unneeded ar for $1k. I did trade a 7.62 ar for a older 10/22, moss 500 home defense, 200 rounds of wolf .223, and almost exactly what I had in the ar in cash. The guy I traded owned close to 100 guns, but not a single AR.
